Ingredients
- 1 t salt
- 1/2 t chili powder, to taste
- 1/4 c red wine vinegar
- 1 cloves garlic, minced
- 15 oz tomato paste
- 2 T honey
- 2 t dry mustard
- 1 small lemon, thinly sliced
- 3 T Worcestershire sauce
- 1/3 c Sugar (Brown)
- 1/2 c chopped onion
- water, as needed
Method
BBQ sauce: Mix all ingredients in medium saucepan, adding water to bring mixture to desired consistency. Bring to boil. Lower heat and simmer for 30 minutes, occasionally stirring.
325° oven, sprinkle brisket with S&P. Roast covered 3-4 hours until tender when forked. Cool and refrigerate! Trim fat from beef and slice into thin slices. Combine with BBQ sauce and serve on rolls.
