Ravioli Sauce 1 (Browned Butter)

Ingredients

  • 2 T butter (salted)
  • 10 cooked ravioli
  • 1 T sliced sage (fresh)
  • ground black pepper (to taste)

Method

In a large frying pan over medium heat, place the butter until it just starts to brown (it will smell nutty).  Toss in 10 ravioli until coated.  Sprinkle the sage and pepper and toss again to evenly distribute.  Plate and serve!

Notes

SJ Note 8 Oct 2010: This was tasty, and I do recommend it if it sounds good to you; it does let the flavor of the ravioli come through.  I just personally prefer a marinara sauce on my ravioli, so that's why I've rejected this.
