- 6 apples (peeled, cored, and sliced)
- 110 g Sugar (Granulated) (1/2 cup)
- 3 T Flour (Plain)
- 1/2 T ground cinnamon
- 1/2 t ground nutmeg
- 1/4 t ground cloves
- 1/2 c raisins
- 1/2 c chopped walnuts
- 1/2 c whole milk
Preheat oven to 350 F. Grease a a 2 quart casserole dish, or coat with non-stick cooking spray. Place apples in a large bowl. Mix in sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves. Stir spice mixture until evenly distributed on apples. Fold in raisins and walnuts. Spoon into prepared dish. Pour milk evenly over apple mixture. Bake in preheated oven for 45 to 60 minutes, or until soft and bubbly, stirring once. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
SJ Note 17 Oct 2011: Good! Left out the nuts; upped the cinnamon (reflected above). Used Granny Smith apples. Might use more sugar next time. Served with whipped cream, was tasty.
