Ingredients

  • 3 large garlic cloves
  • 1/3 t dried basil or 1 t minced fresh basil
  • 1/2 t salt
  • 1/4 t freshly ground black pepper
  • 3 fl oz red wine vinegar
  • 3 fl oz whipping cream
  • 3 T sour cream
  • 3 T mayonnaise
  • 1/3 c vegetable oil

Method

In a food processor fitted with the steel blade and with motor running, add garlic through feed tube to mince.  Add all ingredients except oil.  Process until combined.  Stop machine; scrape side of bowl.  With motor running, add oil through feed tube in a slow, steady stream.  Process until combined.  Pour dressing into a jar with a tight-fitting lid.  Refrigerate until chilled or up to 3 days.
