- Full Recipe:
- 1 t gelatin (unflavored powdered)
- 2 T water
- 3 c cream (whipping) (heavy)
- 1/4 c Sugar (Icing)
- Half Recipe:
- 1/2 t gelatin (unflavored powdered)
- 1 T water
- 1.5 c cream (whipping) (heavy)
- 2 T Sugar (Icing)
Method
Combine gelatin and water in a medium bowl. Let stand 5 minutes to soften gelatin. Bring 1/4 cup (2T for half recipe) cream to simmer in small saucepan over medium heat, then whisk in gelatin mixture until no lumps remain; let cool 3 minutes. With electric mixer on medium-high speed, beat cooled gelatin mixture, sugar, and remaining cream to stiff peaks, about 2 minutes.
Spread as filling and frosting as desired on your cake.
