Ingredients
- Regular:
- 2 oz tequila (a silver/blanco one)
- 1 oz fresh lime juice
- 1/2 oz simple syrup
- 1/2 oz triple sec
- Frozen:
- 2 oz tequila (a silver/blanco one)
- 1.5 oz lime juice
- 1 oz simple syrup
- 1/2 oz triple sec
- 1.5 c ice (big, solid cubes; avoid hollow or crushed ice)
- Salt for rim of glass:
- 1 T sugar - white
- 1/2 T crushed pink peppercorns
- 1/2 c sea salt (medium coarse)
Method
For the regular margarita:
Mix all ingredients together.
For a frozen margarita:
Shake all ingredients together in a cocktail shaker, or blend in a blender.
For the salt:
1. Combine all ingredients thoroughly. Dip the rim of the glass in water, then dip again in the seasoned salt.
2. Pour the margarita into the salted glass; serve.
