Ingredients

  • 113 g butter
  • 220 g sugar - white
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 t vanilla
  • 250 g plain flour
  • 1 t baking soda
  • 1 t baking powder
  • 500 g sour cream (14 fl oz)
  • Topping:
  • 55 g brown sugar
  • 1/2 T cinnamon
  • 1/4 c chopped nuts (1/4 to 1/2 cup)

Method

1. Preheat oven to 350F. Grease and flour pan.

2. Prepare topping; set aside.

3. Sift flour, baking soda, and baking powder; set aside.

4. Cream butter and sugar together.  Add eggs and vanilla; beat well.

5. Stir in flour mixture. 

6. Fold in sour cream.

7. Pour half the batter in the pan; top with half the topping.

8. Pour remaining batter in pan; top with remaining topping.

9. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until skewer inserted in cake comes out clean.
