- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 T Sugar (Granulated)
- 2 T rice vinegar
- 2 T soy sauce
- 2 t sesame oil
- 150 g spaghetti
- 1 T sesame seeds
- 3 T green onions, chopped
1. Place the first five ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Stir constantly until the sugar dissolves.
2. Cook the pasta according to package instructions and drain well.
3. Pour the sauce over noodles, add remaining ingredients and toss well. Serve warm or cold, as desired.
Note: If you’ve got other vegetables such as broccoli, carrots, or sugar snap peas, feel free to dice them and add them in with the green onions and cucumber.
SJ Note 28 Mar 2012: This was really good. If you add chicken (or I guess some other protein) and increase the measure of everything by about 1/2, it'll easily be a one-dish meal for two. We used thick dried Chinese quick noodles instead of spaghetti; I'm sure there's not that much of a difference. Definitely a keeper.
