Ingredients

  • 2/3 lb roast beef or stewing meat, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 3 oz corn
  • 5 oz green beans
  • 5 oz frozen peas
  • 400 g stewed tomatoes, broken up
  • 1/3 large onion
  • 2/3 c sliced carrots
  • 1/4 c pearl barley
  • 1.5 beef bouillon cubes
  • tabasco hot sauce to taste
  • 2/3 t salt

Method

Combine all ingredients in slow cooker.  Do not drain vegetables.

 

Add water to fill slow cooker to within 3" of top.

 

Cover.  Cook on Low 8 hours, or until meat is tender and vegetables are soft.


Notes

Maybe add pepper to this next time.
