Ingredients

  • 1/3 c marrowfat peas
  • 2 t baking soda
  • water

Method

Put peas in plenty of water, and mix in baking soda.  Leave to soak 20-24 hours.  

Strain peas, put in a small pot with fresh water, enough to cover by about 1".  Boil vigorously for an hour.  Serve.
