- 3/4 c sugar
- 1/2 c water
- 2/3 c lemon juice
- 7.5 c cold water
- 1 c smashed fresh strawberries
- 1 c sliced fresh strawberries
Combine 3/4 c granulated sugar and 1/2 c water, boil until dissolved, to form a simple syrup.
Combine lemon juice and remaining cold water in a pitcher; mix. Add simple syrup to taste.
Smash strawberries on a shallow dish, using a potato masher or a fork. Add the smashed strawberries to the lemonade mixture. Add remaining strawberries.
Mix all together and let chill for 2 to 3 hours. Stir before serving.
