Ingredients

  • 1 t vegetable oil
  • 200 g beef steak (lean)
  • 2 cloves garlic (crushed)
  • 1 sliced bell pepper (de-seeded)
  • 100 g broccoli (cut into small florets)
  • 2 sliced green onions
  • 1 T water
  • 1 sliced bok choy
  • 100 g sliced carrots
  • 2 T oyster sauce
  • rice (or noodles, for serving)

Method

Prepare all vegetables, and cook rice or noodles.

Heat the oil in a non-stick frying pan or wok and add the steak, cut into thin strips.  Stir-fry for 1-2 minutes to seal.  

Add the garlic, peppers, broccoli florets, and green onions, along with 1 T water.  Stir-fry for 3 minutes.

Add the bok choy, carrots, and oyster sauce.  Allow to heat through thoroughly and serve immediately with the rice or noodles.

SJ Note 18 Sept 2009: This was good!  We determined we like the bok choy.
