Ingredients

  • 350 g Flour (Plain)
  • 1 t salt
  • 1 T dried yeast
  • 2 t Sugar (Granulated)
  • 2 T olive oil
  • 175 mL warm water
  • cornmeal, for dusting

Method

Combine flour, salt, yeast, and sugar.  Add oil and water.  Knead lightly until the dough comes away from the side of the bowl.  Leave in a warm place to rise for 30 minutes.  

Divide into six pieces and roll into circles 20cm (7.5" - 8") in diameter.  Dust lightly with cornmeal, cover, rise for 5 minutes.

Score with a fork.  Heat oil in pan.  Fry over high heat 3 minutes on each side.
